My review of DEVIL MAY CRY:A Netflix series 🛑 spoiler alert 🛑

It's not like the first animated series.first thing to note: it's taking place in the events of DMC 3, where a much younger version of Dante is dealing with demons and finding out his Dad,Sparda. and it turns out that the vice president is in charge of a demon hunting organization called darkcom, and Mary Ann Arkham (Lady) is a lieutenant in the group. They used mercs to distract him and take his necklace which is one half a two parts, the other one is being worn by a (so NOT kidding here BTW) white rabbit who stole his dad's sword from Rome, the force edge. Dante is locked up and has a bomb injection in his neck (sounds familiar, anybody?) meanwhile, the white rabbit has his influence over a member of darkcom by threatening to have his children killed if he doesn't do what he wants.

Anyway, the convoy is attacked by the white rabbit and his crew.(Most of them are from DMC 3, and 4. You'd recognize most of them if you played them.) It's discovered that both parts of the necklace and the sword are part of a key lock to reunite the human world and the demon world together.But to make it happen, they need Dante to activate his devil trigger, and get him in touch with his demon side.

Meanwhile, the white rabbit has tricked and killed Mary's team (There's a origin story about both Mary and the white rabbit and how they both became what they are, but I'm not gonna go get into it, look for yourself, please.)

At the end of it, Dante saves the day, but Mary Ann injected a sleeping compound into Dante and turned him over, necklace, sword and all to darkcom and he's turned into a Dante -cicle.

IMO, it's a good story, but then again, it's only season one and I don't know when season 2 gets started, but I'll try to let you know. Unless someone else finds out that first, and then you let ME know, okay?
